Residential pollinator front yard

Bob wanted to make better use of his front yard and promote biodiversity. He reached out to Green Guerrilla for this transformation. First, the transformation had to be aesthetically pleasing for the neighborhood. Second, his property backs up to the Fox River Trail and forest preserve. The abundant deer population use his property as access. Third, it had to follow the village ordinances. So Green Guerrilla worked with village staff to understand parameters. Then, selected and designed native plants that were deer resistant with a well-designed landscape that was attractive addition to the front property.

Like always we used no herbicide in turf removal and used other sustainable practices to meet the property owners goals and Green Guerrillas standards.

The neighbors expressed concern about the transformation from standard front lawn, and were skeptical of the process. But a year later, the amazing landscape has looked attractive to both the neighbors and the wildlife. Thank you Bob for having the courage to be a positive example in your neighborhood and creating a landscape that will promote life, sequester carbon and mitigate run off rain water.
