Elgin Public Museum of Natural History and Anthropology
“Green Guerrilla’s generous donation has made it possible for us to revive our educational “living exhibit” of a garden containing plants typical of those grown by Indigenous Peoples for medicinal and healing purposes. We greatly thank you for contributing to our continuing mission to foster and nurture understanding and appreciation of those who lived in this region long before us.” —Sharry Blazier – Director – Elgin Public Museum
Scouts BSA Troop 10 Eagle Scout Service Project
Native trees were planted in Willow Creek Park in Elgin, Illinois by volunteers from Scouts BSA Troop 10 in Elgin, and ecologically minded citizens throughout the community. The trees were selected for being native to the region and for their importance to wildlife. Trees were generously donated by Green Guerrilla. The new oaks, hickories, cherries and sycamores are planted in the park along side an existing grove of century-old oaks.
